About the role
SFG20 is at the forefront of transforming the building maintenance industry with our cutting-edge software platform. We are seeking a driven Sales Manager to lead our high-performing Account Management team and work with our CRO to propel our ambitious growth strategy.
By leading and motivating a high-performing sales team, this role directly contributes to increasing the adoption of SFG20's innovative solutions and pioneering technologies, which in turn empowers more people to create and sustain safer buildings, aligning perfectly with our mission to 'make buildings better using our standard, software and expertise'.
This role is remote with travel to Newcastle once a month.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
- Lead and inspire the Account Management team to achieve ambitious revenue and customer retention targets.
- Cultivate a high-performance culture that emphasises accountability, collaboration, and a customer-centric approach
- Provide clear direction, coaching, and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional development and maximising their potential.
- Champion best practices in account management and sales, ensuring a structured and effective approach to customer interactions.
- Create a dynamic and motivating work environment that prioritises open communication, regular feedback, and continuous learning.
Account Management
- Develop and execute tailored account strategies that align with customer goals and deliver exceptional value.
- Drive account growth by securing new sales and maximising renewal opportunities across the SFG20 product portfolio.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within each account, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
- Champion customer advocacy, ensuring their feedback is heard and addressed effectively.
- Become a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them on how to leverage SFG20 solutions to optimise building maintenance practices.
- Maintain a customer-centric approach in all interactions, prioritising client satisfaction and building long-term partnerships.
Strategy & Planning
- Streamline sales processes and administrative tasks to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with the CRO to define and refine the Account Management team's strategic objectives, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
- Play a key role in shaping the processes, success metrics, and overall strategy of the Account Management team.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Sales Plan that targets high-value accounts and identifies potential risks and mitigation strategies.
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with marketing to develop and implement targeted customer campaigns that drive engagement and generate leads.
- Represent SFG20 at industry events and conferences, showcasing our solutions and building relationships with potential clients.
- Ensure that all customer interactions and sales activities are accurately documented in the CRM system, maintaining data integrity and transparency.
Essential experience
- Proven success in SaaS enterprise sales and account management, including pipeline forecasting and deal management.
- Completion of MEDDIC or equivalent sales methodology training.
- Strong ability to inspire and develop teams to exceed revenue targets and career growth.
- Expertise in creating and executing Account Management sales plans for sustainable growth, tailored to customer business objectives.
- Deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive forces, with a consultative sales approach.
- Experience managing global and multi-regional enterprise accounts, building relationships and driving revenue expansion.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in public sector sales, including navigating procurement processes and government frameworks.
- Background in facilities management, compliance-related industries, or other regulated sectors.
- Working knowledge of SFG20 would be desirable but not essential

All candidates must be able to demonstrate a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK. We are unfortunately not able to offer sponsorship. Documentary evidence will be required.
